#9 – Tapestry
Tapestry artwork is a type of fabric art, customarily woven on a loom. Embroidered artwork is weft-confronted weaving, in which all the twist strings are covered up in the finished work, not at all like material weaving where both the twist and the weft strings might be shown. In tapestry artwork weaving, weft yarns are normally discontinuous; the craftsman interlaces each shaded weft forward and backward in its own pattern. It is a plain weft-confronted weave having weft strings of various shades worked over parts of the warp to frame the design. Most weavers utilize a natural twist string, for example, cloth or cotton. The weft yarn are generally cotton or wool, however may consists of silk, gold, silver, or different options.
